In short: Motto Flashlight does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data. The app has no internet access, no ads, no analytics and no accounts. Everything it does happens on your phone.

Information we collect
None. The app does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or any other personal information.
The app does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send any information off your phone. It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.
How the app uses your phone's sensors
To recognize the shake gesture, the app reads your phone's motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope), and its proximity sensor to avoid turning the light on in a pocket. These readings are processed instantly on your phone to decide whether you shook it, and are then discarded. They are never saved, recorded or shared.
The app controls the camera flash only to use it as a light. It does not take photos or videos and does not request the camera permission.
Settings stored on your phone
The app saves your preferences, such as shake sensitivity, number of shakes, brightness and timer, on your phone so they are remembered next time. These settings contain no personal information.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include these settings in your device backup, as it does for most apps. That backup is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; we never receive it.
Permissions the app uses

Sharing of information
We do not share, sell or transfer any information to anyone, because the app does not collect any.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your choices
You can turn the shake gesture off at any time in the app or from its notification. Uninstalling the app removes all of its settings from your phone.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of the app ever needs to collect data, we will explain what and why here before that version is released.
